    Considerations For Optimal Health

    Nutritional deficiencies

In our busy lives, we tend to forget key ingredients in our diets. Perhaps it is the convenience that drives us to buy packaged foods, but in turn, we become deficient in certain nutrients. By not meeting our nutritional needs, we forego our optimal health.

Trying not to get distracted in today's life is a 24/7 job. Eating while on our phones, on our computer or watching our favorite television show. Eating mindfully and chewing our food and understanding when the stomach is full and not when the mind is full, can play a pivotal role in becoming healthier and becoming your most optimal self.

    The Gut

The modern medical community is just discovering how our gut communicates with our brain. This connection between the brain and gut could put nutrition at the forefront of focus when it comes to mental health concerns. There is growing evidence that the gut microbiome and nutrition have an impact on the onset and course of today's major mental disorders. Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder is one of the largest widespread mental disorders and it could be improved or even eradicated with a healthy, nutritionally dense diet.

    Toxins

Heavy metals, chemicals, pollutants, artificial food ingredients, pesticides, etc.: the truth is, our world is toxic. In our modern world, we are surrounded by pollutants. Toxins disrupt all healing systems of the body. Given half a chance, the body will heal itself. Knowing what type of herbs to consume will alleviate the toxic load on the body's system.

    Food sensitivities

Bloating after a meal, or a stomach ache may be due to inflammation in your body. We all love to eat. However, sometimes we eat foods that do not sit well with our unique body types, but we eat them anyway. Learning what these certain foods are and removing them from your diet, will bring you to a pivotal point in your journey to optimal health.

    Stress

In our 24/7 world, it is hard not to be stressed with work, family, and activities. Work-life balance is key in a world that is getting faster day by day. Get self-aware on what your stress points are and either change or adapt to them. If stress is not dealt with, it may become chronic. Chronic stress can suppress your immunity and obtaining a healthy lifestyle could be farther out of reach.
